Red Devils could seriously be considering the position of Louis van Gaal as manager at the moment after Swansea and City signed Premier League with the 1-1 draw, not giving Reds a chance to qualify for the Champions League playoffs.
Tottenham Hotspurs legend Glenn Hoddl man urged Red Devils to replace Dutchman with a Saints boss Ronald Koeman and forget Mouinho.
“They can’t afford to get it wrong again,” he told to British sources.
“That would set them back further. They can appoint Jose Mourinho, but he seems a short-term fix.
“Ryan Giggs might be a man for the long term but needs to cut his teeth somewhere. It would be easier to justify appointing Giggs if the club were winning trophies.
“They missed Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti while Mauricio Pochettino is staying put. Ronald Koeman would be an excellent choice but if they’re not pursuing him, you can see United sticking with Van Gaal, almost by default.”
Hoddle is believed that Koeman could lead Red Devils to the success and become one of the most successful managers for Man United after Sir Alex Ferguson.
Red Devils are at that point where Edward Woodward simply cannot afford to make any mistakes and Man United Chiefs should make a wise decision over new manager appointment.
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic has become a free agent it has been reported that Reds will make move for Swedish powerhouse in coming weeks and Axing Louis Van Gaal becomes more realistic day by day.
