At the start of the campaign, there was many hope surrounding Tahith Chong, Angel Gomes and Mason Greenwood at Old Trafford, but the latter is the just one who’s made a severe impact. Angel Gomes has since left the club to sign for Lille, while Tahith Chong just didn’t impress in the few opportunities he got in the club.
U21 Netherlands international was mainly played in the UEL and he did show some flashes, but it’s clear that he needs to go out on loan to play regularly. It appears that he could get that opportunity with Werder Bremen next campaign after talks had been held between Tahith’s agent and the Bundesliga club.
They are looking for a possible replacement for Milot Rashica, so that suggests there would be an opportunity for Chong to come in and play a big part in the club.
At this point, it’s said it would just be a loan deal and some of the details are still being worked out, but there’s nothing to suggest that there would be a permanent option inserted into that agreement.
It’s possible that he might get forgotten about at Man United if he stays there next year, so this would be a great opportunity to impress the Norwegian manager or at least secure a good move in the future.
They will make an improved bid for Jadon Sancho at Borussia Dortmund and, with Daniel James and the emergence of footballers such as Shola Shoretire, they know there will be limited opportunities for the Dutchman this campaign.
