Real Madrid have entered the battle to add RB Leipzig playmaker Dani Olmo, who is also a transfer target for rivals Barcelona and Man United.
Spain international has grown into one of the most in-demand playmakers in Europe since breaking out at Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb, whom the attacker signed for in 2014 from Barcelona’s La Masia youth side.
Having risen to prominence, Olmo ended up making the switch to the Bundesliga giants in winter last year, where has gone from strength to strength. A crucial figure for the German giants, Dani has also become an integral member of the Furia Roja squad, impressing heavily in the UEFA Euro 2020 earlier this summer.
His rise to prominence has once again put the Spanish midfielder on the radars of several top teams, including boyhood club Barcelona. Real Madrid will need a long-term replacement for Croatian midfielder Luka Modric, who is in the twilight of his career and the final year of his deal as well.
Furthermore, with Belgian Eden Hazard failing to get going as expected and the future of Isco uncertain, someone like the 23-year-old attacker can be a top signing for the club.
Apart from Real Madrid and Blaugrana, Man United are interested in signing the Spaniard. Man United have a stocked attacking unit as things stand, with a plethora of quality options in each position in the final third.
