PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly made Man United star Paul Pogba a top transfer target for his new club. The Argentine coach recently replaced Thomas Tuchel at PSG, and it looks he’s already lining up some possible additions to bolster his squad and put his own stamp on the club.
Mauricio is confident PSG could beat the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus to the signing of France international, who may be available for nearly £75m in the summer. Paul’s value will no doubt have fallen after a difficult spell at Man United, though some Red Devils supporters may well be pretty happy to sell him for that kind of fee.
Man United could do a lot with that kind of money, and it would surely be a boost to finally get rid of Pogba after all the negative headlines he tends to generate. While the 27-year-old midfielder is undoubtedly a top talent on his day, he’s just not delivered in a Red Devils shirt and it’s surely time to move on while top teams are still interested in him.
It’s easy to imagine Paul improving with a move to Ligue 1, where he’d benefit from a slower style of play in a less competitive league, whilst also having talents like Neymar and Kylian Mbappe around him. With Bruno’s arrival in addition to Pogba’s recent come back to fitness, the pair have had a profound effect on their side’s chance creation.
However, with strong suggestions the World Cup-winning midfielder could be set for an exit in the summer, fans will be hoping they are able to see the duo combine for a little longer.
