UCL giants determined to sign £120,000-a-week Man United midfielder

Juventus have already started laying the groundwork to add Man United footballer Nemanja Matic on a Bosman move this summer, with the midfielder ready to receive a £10m signing-on fee.

Serbia international joined the Red Devils from Chelsea for a reported £40m fee back in the summer of 2017 when Jose Mourinho was in charge at Theatre of Dreams, having previously been a crucial figure for the Portuguese manager during Chelsea’s title-winning 2014/15 campaign.

While Jose Mourinho was sacked midway through the 2018/19 campaign, Nemanja has remained a fine servant for the club over the years and has racked up 189 games for Man United in all tournaments, directly contributing to 15 goals in the process (four goals, 11 assists).

During the 2020/21 campaign, Matic was even rewarded with an improved extension until 2023. However, this arrangement will be cut short by a campaign.

The 33-year-old midfielder has already confirmed that he will leave Man United after the current season, bringing the curtains down on his five-year spell at the Old Trafford without any major trophies under his belt.

As such, there is no shortage of interest in the Serbian midfielder, with Serie A giants like Roma and Juventus keen on snapping him up.

The Serbian has opted to join Juventus, who are set to offer the 33-year-old midfielder lucrative terms for a switch to Turin. By terminating his Man United deal prematurely, Nemanja would lose £6.25m in salaries and bonuses.
