Sergio Aguero is happy to stay in the PL after leaving Man City at the end of the campaign and is leaving his options open, with a shock move to Tottenham Hotspur one of the chances in front of him. Argentina international will leave Man City after 10 fantastic years at the club and is set to sign off with a fifth PL title, and potentially a lot more.
Man City are still on for the quadruple, which would be the perfect way to end Sergop’s incredible time at the club. Barcelona have been strongly linked with a move for Aguero, wanting to link him up with good friend Lionel Messi, but the striker is reportedly happy to remain in England and the PL.
Clearly, his options in the English top-flight are realistically very few and the Blues and Spurs are two of the most realistic available to him. Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not ruled out a move for the 32-year-old striker, but says he does not believe the striker would ‘want to go to a local rival.’
The Spanish manager has ruled out Arsenal making an offer to the Argentine striker, while Liverpool have shown no interest as yet, leaving Spurs and Blues as the remaining realistic options on these shores.
Despite Sergio’s openness to remain in the PL, the biggest offers are likely to come from abroad and the favourites with the bookmakers to sign him this summer remain Barcelona, followed by Real Madrid and PSG. While a switch to Chelsea or Tottenham may not be off the table, both stay unlikely at this stage.
