The Hoops are just a step away to complete the deal for prolific Centre-back

The Hoops are considering to reinforce the squad during the upcoming transfer window and monitoring a Serbian centre-half Aleksandar Pantić. It’s believed that Celtic already sent spies to watch the 23-year-old’s performance in Villarreal’s 1-1 draw with Eibar at El Madrigal at the weekend, sparking further talk about potential January signings.

The 6”1” centre-back was a member of Serbia national under-21 football, where he made his debut on 5 June 2012 against the Faroe Islands. Pantić is a versatile player who can play at any position on defense and as a defensive midfielder. He is described as a consistent defender, without any flaws, and someone who can lead any defence. Pantic is a strong player with good aerial ability and excellent positional sense.
