The Gunners manager have given injury update to their main stars; Alexis Sanchez Laurent Koscielny and Santi Cazorla all of them picked up injuries on Sunday afternoon draw 1-1 against Norwich. All this players are members of starting line-up and they joined Francis Coquelin, Mikel Arteta, Thomas Rosicky, Danny Welbeck, Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere at Arsenal infirmary.
Koscielny has been injured at the 11th minute of the game and was replaced by Brazilian international Gabriel due to a hip injury.
On the other hand Spaniard Star Cazorla has received treatment at the end of the half, and he continued to play on but it was not hard to see that it had effected his performance.
The main and probably the huge blow for Gunners fans is Alexis Sanchez, who has been a key player for Arsene Wenger since his transfer from Barcelona and boss fears that his injury could be serious.
“The players are there to play football and not to be rested when the press decides they need to be rested. – Frenchman admitted on the press conference.
“He says it is a kick on his hamstring. I fear the reality is worse than that.
“In the first half he got a kick on the knee and it got worse. I don’t know if he has jaded his knee ligament or he it was just a kick on the nerve but the worrying thing was it got worse during the game. For Koscielny it was a kick on his hip and he could not move at all. We have to assess all of that. – he added.
“Of course, like everybody. Nobody is scientifically developed enough, not even the press, to predict exactly when a guy would be injured. I must say that with all humility we are not position to predict that, despite all our test he looked alright.”
