The London giants are reportedly seeing many interest in midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, but it stays to be seen if any team meets their touted €40m demands. France international joined the London giants from Lorient in 2018 and has gone on to play 82 games for the Gunners over the past two campaign at Arsenal.
However, Matteo fell out of favour with the Spanish manager in the latter stages of the last season, while an injury forced him to miss the last eight PL matches of the campaign as the London giants may have found solutions elsewhere to result in him falling down the pecking order.
In turn, with a limited budget for additions this summer due to the economic impact of the covid pandemic, it stays to be seen if Gunners look to offload footballers first in order to boost their transfer funds. It’s noted that Guendouzi could be an option to axe as Giallorossi have joined PSG and Barcelona in holding an interest in the midfielder.
However, it’s added that Arsenal want at least €40m for him, and so it stays to be seen if that hefty price-tag is enough to put those interested sides off from making a bid. There is no doubt that the 21-year-old midfielder is a talented young player, but he still has huge room for improvement.
While that could perhaps be an argument in favour of such a big asking price as he has his whole future ahead of him still and has experience playing at the highest level with Gunners already, there are still major question marks over whether or not he’ll be one of the top footballers in Europe in the coming years to warrant that price-tag.
