Blues have been making some fantastic moves in the transfer market already, but it also means that some footballers will need to leave. They are famous for hoarding footballers to loan out and eventually sell for a profit, and it means they tend to have a giant squad.
The few footballers seem ready to leave Chelsea this summer, and Antonio Conte is showing interest in two of his former footballers. Conte’s been tracking Olivier Giroud for a while and although the report confirms he extended his deal to prevent him from leaving for free, he could still be on his way out this summer.
They also suggest that Nerazzurri are set to pay up to £19m to sign Emerson Palmieri, which would be a no-brainer for Blues if that offer does come in. Nothing has been agreed at this point, but neither footballer will have a huge role to play at Stamford Bridge next campaign, so it would make sense to cash in.
Italy international hasn’t looked good enough at left-back and selling him would free up some money to put towards a replacement, and the defender would probably thrive under his old boss who can get the best out of his wing-backs. It now appears that it is only a matter of time until Inter wraps up the signing of Palmieri.
The Italian left-back has found himself in and out of the London giants this term and in 19 matches across all tournaments to date, he has provided a single assist for his partners at the PL club, who he has a contract with until 2022.
