Serie A giants closely monitoring £75,000-a-week Blues defender

Milan keep a close eye on Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri and planning to make a bid in July when the transfer window opens again. Rossoneri have problems in the back-line as Ivan Strinic already up to 30, and his back-up is necessary.

Brazil international is the perfect choice in this situation as he also wants to get regular game time and set to listen to offers from the clubs. Gennaro Gattuso ready to spend big money on the footballer during the summer transfer window. Juventus and Inter Milan are also interested in signing him, and there will be a battle for the player.

Emerson joined the Blues from Roma in 2018 with a £20m deal. He has a vast potential and can become a world-class defender if he continuous improvement. In this campaign, Palmieri played only 22 games, scored one goal and made one assist in all tournament.

The 24-year-old left-back has contracted with the London club until 2022, and his release clause is around £25m. Milan have an excellent result in Serie A as they are in a fourth place in the table and have a big chance to get the Champions League ticket.

Italian club added several players last summer like Mattia Caldara from Juventus, Samu Castillejo from Villarreal, Nikola Kalinic from Fiorentina, Diego Laxalt from Genoa, Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus, Fabio Borini from Sunderland, Pepe Reina from Napoli, Alen Halilovic from Hamburger, Ivan Strinic from Sampdoria and Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea. Rossoneri also signed Lucas Paqueta from Flamengo and Krzysztof Piatek from Genoa this winter.
