Real Madrid join race for €65m-rated Liverpool transfer target

According to reports, Real Madrid could lean on their strong relationship with sponsors ADIDAS in an attempt to beat the Merseyside giants to the signing of Bayern Munich defender David Alaba. Austria international has spent 12-years with the Bundesliga giants since joining their youth academy all the way back in 2008.

However, with David out of a deal in the summer and with no signs of a successful renewal, there have been ongoing suggestions that the defender will depart sooner rather than later.

Alaba was famously part of the Bavarians side who dominated Europe’s big leagues last campaign as the Bundesliga giants lifted a monumental treble, including the UCL.

However, despite a hugely successful time in Bayernwhich has spanned well over a decade and seen the 28-year-old defender lift a whopping 25 major titles, centre-back’s time at the Allianz Arena seems to be coming to an end. Los Blancos and Reds are the favourites to land the world-class defender.

However, it is Zizou’s Real Madrid who could be in the driving seat as they look to use their relationship with ADIDAS in an attempt to get a deal over the line. Los Blancos partnership with ADIDAS which has been active since 1998 and has recently been extended until 2028 could be key in any proposed deal.

The Austrian defender is well known for being one of the sports brand’s biggest names which prompted the company to provide the necessary platform for the left-back to make the switch to Spain. Reds transfer business has often been kept a secret so it’s best to ignore what the German boss says when he talks about making possible additions.
