Gunners are reportedly said to offload Mesut Ozil in the winter transfer window on loan as the 30-year-old attacker continues to struggle to get game time at the London club.
Mesut has managed only two matches for Arsenal this campaign as the playmaker continues to be criticised for his lack of effort and dip in form, compared to his previous level of performances since his £42m move from Real Madrid.
Now, Gunners are willing to offload Ozil on loan in the winter transfer window, as they fear they will not be able to sell him permanently due to his huge £350,000-a-week wages at the Emirates Stadium.
Magpies, meanwhile, are lacking in creativity. Miguel Almiron has struggled in the Premier League since joining Newcastle United in winter from Atlanta United, while Ayoze Perez left the Magpies in the summer to join Leicester City for £30m.
Steve Bruce’s side produced a stunning display to beat Man United 1-0, but the team have scored only five goals in eight league matches. They need creativity in the midfielder to bring out the best of Andy Carroll and Joelinton.
Newcastle United can afford to pay a part of former Germany international’s wages, with the London club hardly expecting any interested clubs to pay his full paycheque.
Gunners need to let Ozil go and the bigger the stage, the better. If they are to sell Mesut permanently, they need him playing at the right level and impressing for clubs to become interested. A move to Newcastle United then would be excellent exposure for German midfielder.
