Newcastle United are reportedly monitoring Man United defender, Brandon Williams, ahead of a possible loan move in the winter transfer window. U21 England international seems a talented teenager capable of playing left-back, right-back, or as a wing-back on either side, but has struggled to get as much game time for the Red Devils of late.
It now looks likely Brandon could be on his way out of Man United on loan this winter, with the Magpies considering a move for him. Man United would probably do well to loan Williams out in order to get him more game time, which could hopefully then see him come back to Old Trafford with more experience at the highest level.
The Magpies could do with a temporary signing to give them a bit of a lift, and the 20-year-old’s versatility means he could be a useful option in a number of positions in their squad. Some Red Devils supporters may be wary, however, of loaning out a promising youngster when they could do with having more squad depth.
Newcastle have continued to be linked with Jetro Willems as he recovers from surgery and works back to full fitness. The Netherlands international has continued to interact on social media regarding the Magpies, leading supporters to believe there is every chance he would return if offered the opportunity.
The English defender is an impressive Red Devils prospect who is in need of regular football. Brandon made 36 first-team games last campaign but this time has found chances limited. Only playing six minutes of PL football so far this campaign, 31 minutes in the UCL, plus two starts in the League Cup.
