Man United trying to secure the services of £50m rated full-back

Jose Mourinho feels Manchester United will finalize the signing of Danny Rose from Tottenham Hotspur and stays sure that a £50million deal can be struck in January, according to the reports.

The Portuguese coach is desperate to reinforce his squad with the addition of the Englishman, who is also keen to ensure regular first-team football ahead of the World Cup in Russia.

United were close to signing the Spurs ace in the summer. However, a deal never materialised due to Rose’s recovery from a long-term injury coupled with Mauricio Pochettino’s reluctance to offload two full-backs in one transfer window.

Tottenham had already let Kyle Walker go to Manchester City, and the ex Southampton manager was keen to keep Rose at the club. However, the defender has fallen out of favour this campaign after giving an explosive interview with the Sun where he asked the club’s wage structure.

Man United, meanwhile, have been performing with Ashley Young in the left-back area, with Luke Shaw unsettled by Mourinho. United’s transfer chiefs are aware a deal will be hard to compete with Daniel Levy. However, Mourinho is persuaded they will sign the ex Leeds United star by the summer at the latest, as reported by the Daily Mail.
