Man United started negotiations with €25m-rated Nigeria international

Man United and Liverpool are reportedly among the teams willing to offer for the transfer of Villarreal forward Samuel Chukwueze. Nigeria international has long looked an exciting prospect after catching the eye in Spain, and it would be great to see him in the PL at some point.

The likes of Red Devils and Liverpool are both said to be prepared to make offers for Samuel as he’s also targeted by the Los Blancos. The report adds that Samuel will most likely leave for his release clause fee, which is €80m not exactly crazy money for the teams mentioned.

It stays to be seen if these PL club can persuade Chukwueze to move to England instead of staying in Spanish football, but both these sides would surely benefit from his arrival.

The 21-year-old winger looks badly needed at Theatre of Dreams in particular, with the Red Devils short of quality out wide after the likes of Jesse Lingard and Daniel James have fallen out of favour after a lack of impact in the side.

Liverpool are probably less desperate for new additions in the front-line, but the Nigerian seems like an outstanding young talent who could give the German coach more options up front and the prospect of a long-term replacement for the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in the future.

The Nigerian forward has a release clause of €80m, and the report claims Liverpool could rival Man United for his signature while Leicester City, Everton, Chelsea and Wolverhampton Wanderers have also been named as interested parties.
