Man United started negotiations with 23-year-old promising attacker

Red Devils are reportedly keeping tabs on Matheus Pereira as he impresses on loan at West Bromwich Albion in the Championship this campaign. The 23-year-old winger is contracted to Sporting Lisbon but has not played a great deal of football for the club, having been out on loan a few times in recent years.

Still, it looks Matheus is now showing what he can do at West Bromwich and this has sparked some interest from Man United. The report explains that the Baggies have the option to sign Pereira permanently for £9m, but that is not expected to put the Red Devils off. He has vast potential and can achieve a big success in the future.

It’s easy to see how the Brazilian rising star could end up being a useful addition to this Man United squad if he continues to improve at this rate. Although he’s untested at Premier League level, Matheus has time to develop and improve and could well end up being the next Daniel James for the Red Devils.

The Welsh star joined Man Utd from Swansea City this summer and has made the step up from the Championship to the Premier League with relative ease. Red Devils started this campaign terribly as they are in a 7th place in the Premier League table.

Man United signed several footballers during the summer transfer window like Harry Maguire from Leicester City, Daniel James from Swansea and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace. English club heavily linked with Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho and RB Salzburg centre-forward Erling Haaland.
