Man United have maintained their interest in Ousmane Dembele. The Red Devils are closely monitoring the situation of the Barcelona forward and are in contention to possibly snap the winger up in winter for a fee of €45m. The Blaugrana are yet to make a definitive decision on the future of Ousmane.
But there is a huge opportunity that Dembele could become the Catalan club’s primary departure, either in winter or next summer, with Juventus also interested in his services. Both the club are aware of the 24-year-old forward’s injury problems, which has substantially dropped his valuation in the market.
It has left the Catalan giants in a precarious position. The Blaugrana had already offloaded Antoine Griezmann on deadline day in the summer while also failing to renew the deal of Lionel Messi.
It appears the French winger could be next out of Barcelona exit doors as president Joan Laporta continues his complete overhaul of the Blaugrana front-line. In fact, even Philippe Coutinho has been linked with a winter exit, with Tottenham and Arsenal reportedly eyeing a loan deal.
Man United’s interest in the World Cup winner, meanwhile, suggests the fact that the PL giants are prepared to further bolster their offensive unit despite bringing in the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho in the summer.
It might not bode well for Anthony Martial, though, with the French attacker seemingly losing his importance in Man United’s first-team.
