Red Devils are reportedly set to try a move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez in the winter transfer window as they make the footballer a priority target. Man United are planning to try to lure Spain international to Theatre of Dreams this January, with the deal likely to cost nearly £129m.
While that’s very expensive, it’s an ambitious deal that looks badly needed at Red Devils right now after their dire start to the campaign, with Niguez a huge upgrade on the midfielders they currently have. Spanish star won several titles with Atletico Madrid including Europa League, Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup.
Norwegian coach surely cannot carry on for the rest of 2019/20 with the likes of Nemanja Matic, Fred, Andreas Pereira and Scott McTominay his key figures alongside Paul Pogba if he is to get the club back into the top 4. Saul is a regular member of the national team squad which is already a big success for the footballer.
He has shown his world-class ability for the Los Rojiblancos down the years and looks a worthwhile long-term investment at £129m. The 24-year-old midfielder is a fine all-rounder in the middle of the park and could be just the footballer to finally help get the best out of Pogba at Old Trafford.
Man United started this campaign terribly as they are in a 12th place in the Premier League table. Red Devils signed several footballers during the summer transfer window like Harry Maguire from Leicester City, Daniel James from Swansea and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.
