Man United planning to sign £50m-rated German centre-back next summer

Man United still want to sign Bayern defender Jerome Boateng and preparing to make an offer next summer. Red Devils were heavily linked with Germany international during this transfer window but the deal failed as the Bavarians rejected the offer. Jose Mourinho isn’t going to give up and planning a new proposal for the German club. Portuguese manager keen to strengthen the defence and his primary target is Jerome who is one of the best centre-backs in Europe.

The 30-year-old is contracted with Bayern until 2021 and his release clause is nearly £50m. His price could increase during this campaign. Boateng joined the German club from Man City in 2011 with a £12m deal. He became an unchanged figure and real leader for the club. Last season German centre-back played 35 games, scored 2 goals and made 3 assists in all competition. This is an excellent result and he can do much more in this campaign.

He also named in Bundesteam squad for the Mundial but they stayed in the group and kicked out from the competition early. It will be difficult to sign Boateng as the Bavarians will do everything to keep their defensive rock. Man United have to pay big money for the player.
