Manchester United are reportedly keen on a summer move for Borussia Dortmund centre-half Sokratis Papastathopoulos.

The Portugues manager has been devoid of defensive options at times this campaign due to different damages and it is believed that Mourinho is keen to add more options at the back during the summer.

As reported by the Daily Mirror, United have sent officials to monitor Dortmund centre-back Papastathopoulos at different points this campaign, ahead of a possible move for the £20m-rated centre-back.

Other options for United in the summer are believed to include Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld, who now finds himself in the midst of protracted contract negotiations with the London club.

Papastathopoulos has made many appearances for Greece at international level, earning 78 senior caps for his nation.

Meanwhile, The Daily Mirror reports that Manchester United are closely monitoring Jean Michael Seri, as the rumours about Paul Pogba’s future at Old Trafford continue to rise.

According to the same report, the Red Devils have made a new approach to Seri’s representatives.

The report also claims that Pogba could be ready to end his career at Manchester United after spending only two years at the Old Trafford, as he has lost the form and still struggles to recover from recent injury. He substituted Herrera against Sevilla.

In the current season, Frenchman participated in 17 premier league games. He managed to score only three goals and provided nine assists.

Jean Michael Seri has been a starter in the Nice team, scoring one goal and making three assists in 20 Ligue 1 games. It is unlikely that Seri can replace French star, as their levels of game are entirely different. Probably Ivorian midfielder will not be the only option for Red Devils.
