Sergej Milinkovic-Savic transfer speculation is hotting up once again as it’s emerged he can leave Lazio for the Red Devils and other top clubs for a fee of £87m this summer. In this campaign, the Serbian midfielder already played 31 matches, scored five goals and provided seven assists across all tournaments.
The 25-year-old star has been one of the finest midfielders in Europe for some time now, and his great form for the Italian club this campaign has them in serious contention for a surprise Serie A title victory. Sergej is a regular member of the national team squad and also played in the 2018 World Cup.
Man United could do with Sergej transfer to bolster in what has long been a problem position for the team, especially with Paul Pogba’s future in doubt and the midfielder looking the perfect replacement. It stays to be seen, however, if Red Devils can win the race for his signature as reports claim PSG are lining up an offer for him this summer.
This means Man United may have to act fast to ensure they can win the race for Serbia international transfer, though it may be that they need to sort out Paul’s future before being able to spend that kind of money on his replacement.
One imagines, however, that playing in the PL could surely be a big draw for a player like Milinkovic-Savic. On the other hand, though, Parisians currently look more likely to be able to guarantee Champions League football to the midfielder, as well as perhaps a realistic shot at winning the trophy soon.
