Man United keeping tabs with €70m-rated Serie A forward

Man United have set their sights on Juventus winger Federico Chiesa after the attacker received a glowing recommendation from Cristiano Ronaldo.

Italy international, a product of the Fiorentina youth academy product, was widely regarded as one of the best young forwards in Serie A when he burst onto the scenes with La Viola a few years ago. Chiesa has delivered on that promise and then some, earning a move to the Bianconeri in the summer last year.

Federico signed for the Old Lady on a two-season long loan deal with the option of making the transfer permanent in 2022, which they very much intend to do after his exploits at Juventus over the past year.

Indeed, the 23-year-old winger was one of the Bianconeri’s best footballers last term, along with Cristiano Ronaldo, even though the campaign did not end well for the Old Lady.

Following up on that, former Fiorentina winger played a huge role in Italy lifting the UEFA Euro 2020 earlier this summer while the forward has once again looked the Old Lady’s most impactful footballer amidst the Bianconeri’s struggles in the new season.

The Italian winger’s growth has naturally attracted the interest of several heavy-hitters around Europe, including the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool. Man United bolstered their wide-attacking department this past summer with the big-money signing of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

Man United also have the likes of Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard, Amad Diallo and Anthony Martial, all of whom can play out on the flanks.
