Man United could be interested in PSG shot-stopper Keylor Navas, with the Parisian club closing in on a free transfer of Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. Man United are interested in bringing a new shot-stopper, and the experience of Costa Rica international could be considered valuable.
As soon as the news of Gianluigi’s impending transfer to PSG came out, Keylor has been strongly linked to several clubs across Europe. And, now Red Devils are thought to be interested in the former Real Madrid custodian.
Red Devils faced an uncertain campaign with regard to their shot-stoppers. Although Dean Henderson did not look entirely convincing, David de Gea has had a few inconsistent campaigns. And, the club are looking to sell at least one of their two goalkeepers in the window if suitable offers arrive.
The Red Devils have shown interest in some goalkeepers this summer. Although the list is unclear yet, reports of a swap deal with Atletico Madrid for Jan Oblak had been doing the rounds not so long ago. However, with Jan Oblak unlikely to move from Madrid, Man United are exploring other viable options.
Keylor is one of the most experienced shot-stoppers around Europe, with three UCL crowns and some domestic titles with Real Madrid and more recently with PSG. However, considering the age profile of Gianluigi Donnarumma and his superior physicality means the Italian will be an automatic first choice for PSG once the transfer is complete.
That leaves Navas high-and-dry, much similar to when Real Madrid signed Thibaut Courtois. The 34-year-old goalkeeper then joined PSG and now could be looking at a move again, despite his solid displays in goal for the French side.
