Man United keen on signing No.9 Norwegian goal machine

There’s possibly some good Man United transfer news emerging from Spain regarding a possible deal for Borussia Dortmund centre-forward Erling Haaland. The 20-year-old striker has shown himself to be one of the most exciting teenagers in world football in recent times and would be an exciting signing for any top European side.

Red Devils have been linked with Erling in recent times and could do with the striker of his quality up front, though one imagines they’ll face much contest for his signature. Still, there’s some encouraging news on that front as he has a huge condition for joining Real Madrid, with Haaland only willing to do so if Zizou is no longer coach.

The report explains that Norway international is not keen on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu while Zizou is in charge due to the French manager’s known loyalty to current centre-forward Karim Benzema.

This could limit the Norwegian’s game time if he moved to Madrid, so it may well be that a move to Man United or somewhere else could be more tempting. Erling would surely be the first choice at Man United after his tremendous recent scoring record, which shows he’s a class above any of the Red Devils current centre-forward options.

Erling has 31 goals in 30 matches for Bundesliga giants, following on from 29 goals in 27 matches for RB Salzburg. Haaland has scored 33 goals in his first 31 games for the BVB across all tournaments, with his latest goals coming in a 3-0 home victory over Club Brugge in the UCL this week.
