Rafael Santos Borre is the subject of interest from Man United over a move in the summer transfer window. The 25-year-old centre-forward is ready to leave River Plate as a free agent ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
Rafael has progressed considerably since returning to South America from Europe by joining River Plate from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2017. Over the last four years, Santos Borre has amassed 138 games, scoring 53 goals while providing 18 assists.
However, Colombia international is facing an uncertain future with River Plate, with his current contract running out this coming summer. And, the fact that the Colombian centre-forward will not cost a penny means Borre is being courted by several top teams around Europe, including Red Devils.
Red Devils are believed to be in the market for a striker, seeing as Edinson Cavani has been tipped to depart Man United after only one campaign to return to South America. In addition, there are question marks surrounding the future of Anthony Martial as well, it is understandable why Man United would want to sign a striker, with Andrea Belotti one of their targets.
In addition, Alassane Plea has also emerged as one of the options on their radar, but the Colombian striker could also be a striker worth considering. With the 25-year-old striker starting to develop quite well in recent year, Man United could enjoy the best years of his career.
Apart from the PL giants, Valencia are also keen on signing the South American striker, while Gremio and Palmeiras are hot on his trails as well.
