Man United and Newcastle United could be ready to battle it out for the signing of Brighton winger Leandro Trossard in the summer. Having spent the majority of his career at Genk, Belgium international joined the Seagulls in the summer of 2019.
Trossard has grown into a crucial figure for Brighton and has been key to their survival in the PL in the past few campaigns. Leandro has played 104 games for the Seagulls, bagging 18 goals and 11 assists in the process.
Able to play in any position in the attack or as a playmaker, the 27-year-old forward has impressed the onlookers with his versatility and ability to cause problems for the opposition back-line. And as he prepares to enter the final year of his deal at Brighton, the Belgian winger is attracting interest from Man United and Newcastle United.
The Red Devils are in the market for reinforcements in the attack after having lost Mata and Lingard. With Rashford also staring at an uncertain future and Martial expected to depart permanently, Man United need to bring in some new faces into the front line to complement the likes of Ronaldo, Sancho and Elanga.
The former Genk winger, to that end, has emerged as a viable target. The Belgian showed that he can perform on big occasions, having scored goals against the likes of Liverpool, Man City and Man United.
