Man United are keeping tabs on Dynamo Kyiv defender Vitaliy Mykolenko as they look to add to their options in the position. Ukraine international has enjoyed a growing reputation in Ukraine after breaking into the Dynamo first team at only 18-years-old and already being capped eight times by his country, with AC Milan also credited interest.
Left-back has emerged as a priority position for the Norwegian manager to fill before the transfer window closes on 5 October. Luke Shaw stays the first choice, but there have been questions over his ability to remain fit and his form, while back-up Brandon Williams is naturally right-footed and not best suited for the place.
Vitaliy is an option for Man United, but Alex Telles stays a more likely purchase. Negotiations have been held with Brazil international and he is reportedly confident of securing a switch to Theatre of Dreams.
Alex has a release clause of £36m, but Red Devils are confident of securing a deal for around half that amount, with a deal already agreed with Telles worth nearly £75,000-a-week. A deal is likely to be done in the coming days, but the clubs continue to haggle over price.
The Brazilian defender himself was not the first choice, with the Red Devils also looking at Sergio Reguilon before he moved to Spurs from Real Madrid last week. Red Devils are also keen to add to their options at centre-back, although it is much less clear who they will be able to bring in before the window closes.
