Man United in the hunt for 21-year-old Argentina international

Man United are determined to land Enzo Fernandez and will make a move in near future. Having joined Benfica in the summer only he has created a ripple in the European circuit and several clubs are hovering for his signature. Ten Hag chased Frenkie de Jong almost entirely in the summer window and went on to sign Casemiro from Real Madrid.

The Dutch manager also brought Eriksen on a free transfer but there is plenty of room for a midfielder to settle in. Erik ten Hag has been handed the mantle to lead the charge as they push to challenge the monopoly of Man City and Argentina international could be that missing piece.

Fernandez is believed to have a pretty hefty release clause in his deal and has helped his club to an unbeaten start to the campaign. The Eagles got through their UCL group stage unscathed and are yet to concede a defeat in the Portuguese top flight.

The Red Devils could make an attempt to bring Enzo in winter but it would take a huge financial package to lure the midfielder to Theatre of Dreams. Having already signed Lisandro Martinez from Ajax, Man United could persuade the 21-year-old midfielder to don the red shirt as it looks.

The South American midfielder is touted to be one of Argentina’s brightest prospects and has already been scouted by Man United on many occasions.
