Man United in advanced talks with €35m-rated Croatian midfielder

Man United keeping tabs with Inter Milan star Marcelo Brozovic. Mourinho planning to strengthen the midfield and after Lazio demanded nearly €100m for their star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic Portuguese manager started to search for different high-class midfielders. Marcelo is the perfect option as he had an impressive season. Croatia international finished Serie A on a fourth place and won the silver medal in the World Cup.

In this season He played 47 games, scored 5 goals and made 10 assists in all competition. Croatian midfielder joined the Italian club from Dinamo Zagreb in 2015 with a £5m deal. Brozovic is an important figure in the club and it will be hard to sign him. On the other side, Inter signed Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan and also very close to signing Bayern star Arturo Vidal. So there is no place for Croatia international in the club. The 25-year-old is contracted with the club until 2021 and his release clause is nearly £35m.

Man United already signed Brazilian midfielder Fred, Portuguese right-back Diogo Dalot and English goalkeeper Lee Grant in this summer. Red Devils also keen to sign Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Tottenham centre-back Toby Alderweireld in this transfer window. Mourinho wants to add Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic to improve front-line.
