Man City join race to sign €45m-rated Arsenal long-term target

Citizens enter the battle to sign Roma centre-back Kostas Manolas and ready to compete with Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United, Juventus and Atletico Madrid for the footballer. The English club have problems in the back-line as Vincent Kompany joined Anderlecht, Nicolas Otamendi already 31-year-old, Eliaquim Mangala has a severe injury, and they need replacement.

Greece international is the best choice in this situation as he had a good season and proved his worth one more time. Pep Guardiola will do everything to sign him this summer, but it won’t be easy as Gunners, Blues, Red Devils, Bianconeri and Los Rojiblancos also preparing to make an offer during the transfer window.

There will be a contest for the player, and his price could become much more. Manolas joined the Italian club from Olympiacos in 2014 with a €14m deal. He is one of the great centre-backs in Serie A and unchanged figure for the club.

In this campaign, Konstantinos made 35 appearances, scored two goals and provided one assist in all tournament. It is a great result, and he can do much more with world-class teammates. The 27-year-old defender has contracted with the Giallorossi until 2022, and his release clause is nearly €45m.

He regularly plays in the national team and also helped them to reach the playoff in the 2014 World Cup, but after losing in a penalty shoot-out against Costa Rica, they kicked out from the competition. Probably Greek centre-back will accept the correct offer from the Spanish coach. Man City heavily linked with Wolverhampton midfielder Ruben Neves, Ajax centre-back Matthijs de Ligt and Real Madrid attacker Isco.
