Man City enter the race for £200,000-a-week Liverpool forward

Man City are keeping an eye on the situation of Mohamed Salah. The Merseyside giants forward has been identified as a possible target for the Cityzens as the winger continues to face an unknown future at Liverpool.

Egypt international’s current deal in Liverpool expires in 2023, but the Reds have appeared reluctant to meet the forward’s €30m per season demands. It has put Man City on red alert, with the club poised to table an offer of nearly €75m to secure the services of Salah next summer.

Mohamed has been the talk of the town in the PL this campaign, having started the campaign exceptionally well. In only eight games, the 29-year-old winger has netted seven goals while providing four assists, becoming the central figure to the Reds’ second-place status in the league at the moment.

The Egyptian attacker has been performing in the Champions League as well, notably scoring a brace in the victory over Porto while netting with Milan as well. His consistent form at the highest level of football has attracted the interest of Man City, who could be in for a bit of an attacking overhaul.

One of Man City’s top attackers in Raheem Sterling is already being tipped for a winter exit, with Real Madrid being the latest team to express interest in the English winger’s services.
