London club interested to sign No.9 La Liga centre-forward

Chelsea started negotiations with Atletico Madrid striker Nikola Kalinic and planning to make a bid during this winter transfer window. Blues have problems in the attack as Olivier Giroud preparing to leave the London club and his replacement is necessary. Croatia international is the best option in this situation as he also wants to get regular game time and ready to listen to offers from the big clubs.

Italian manager set to pay big money for the player during this January. Several other clubs also keen to sign him and there will be a real battle for the footballer. His price could increase and become much more. Nikola joined the Los Rojiblancos from Milan last summer with a £14m deal. He is one of the best centre-forwards in La Liga and a key figure for the club.

In this season, Kalinic already played 19 matches, scored 4 goals and made one assist in all competition. This is an impressive result and he can do much more if he gets a regular place in starting line-up. The 31-year-old striker is contracted with the Spanish club until 2021 and his release clause is around £20m. He is a regular member of the national team which is already a big achievement for the footballer.
