Liverpool to renew interest in Zielinski

According to the latest transfer news, Liverpool have reportedly launched a £25m bid for Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski.

The Poland international has been linked with the Merseyside giants for some time but a deal has failed to materialise. But according to the reports Il Mattino, the Reds have lodged a bid for the 23-year-old Zielinski.

The same sources claim that Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on the midfielder but Napoli are ready to reject a move. It is understood the Serie A giants want around £60m for the player.

Liverpool have been told to add another £10m onto their bid to get the signature Mohamed Salah — or forget it, writes David Maddock.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have resurrected talks with the winger’s club, AS Roma, after having an initial bid of more than £26m turned down.

But on Wednesday, as negotiations intensified and were confirmed by their sporting director Monchi, Liverpool were warned that “Roma is not a supermarket” and the Italians will set the price.

Meanwhile, Southampton attacker and Liverpool top transfer target for the summer transfer window – Dusan Tadic has fueled speculations that he could be set for a move to Anfield in near future.

The 28-year-old Serbian has managed to score 16 goals in 121 appearances for the Saints since joining the club back in the summer of 2014 but the Tadic is being heavily linked with a switch to the Merseyside club ahead of the 2017/18 season.

According to the reports, the Serbia international is keen on joining Jurgen Klopp’s side in the coming months and he did little to dispel the rumours when pressed.
