Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro has no interest in leaving the club for Merseyside outfit. He is said to be thankful to coach Zinedine Zidane and club president Florentino Perez, both of whom are keen on seeing him stay at the Los Blancos for the foreseeable future.
A regular in the La Liga giants midfield, Brazil international has played 216 times for the Spanish club since joining in 2013. Casemiro has been an important cog in a dominant Real Madrid midfield that has won four Champions League crowns over the last six campaigns.
Wit European champions Reds in need of bolstering the forces, a footballer of Casemiro’s quality would have added experience and steel to the midfield. Had a move been on the cards, he would’ve joined international partners Alisson Becker, Roberto Firmino and Fabinho to bolster an already stable Samba spine at Anfield.
The 27-year-old midfielder is seen as a replacement for Guinean midfielder Naby Keita, who hasn’t hit the heights expected of him since his transfer from RB Leipzig. The Brazilian midfielder is a world-class footballer, who can bolster any midfield. Naby Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain have many injuries, and the new midfielder is necessary.
Although he would’ve bolstered us immeasurably, we admire his decision to stay loyal to Real Madrid and not jump ship so quickly. The 27-year-old midfielder was part of the Brazilian squad that won the 2019 Copa America title. It will be difficult to sign him as Real Madrid aren’t going to sell such a prominent figure during the summer.
