Toni Kroos is the subject of interest from the Merseyside giants over a move in next summer’s transfer window. The German manager is a long-term admirer of his compatriot, who is valued at nearly €25m by Real Madrid.
Germany international joined Los Blancos from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2014 after coming ever so close to making his way to Man United instead.
The switch to Real Madrid has done wonders for his career, as Kroos has blossomed into one of the best midfielders of all time while playing a crucial role in Los Blancos’ success over the last seven years.
A winner of 13 trophies during his stint at Real Madrid, Toni has played 322 games for Los Blancos while chipping in with 22 goals and 80 assists along the way.
However, as the 31-year-old midfielder approaches the final phase of his career, a prospective suitor has emerged in his pursuit and wishes to swoop him away from Real Madrid, with the Reds interested in him.
At Liverpool, the German coach holds a long-standing interest in Toni, having made a previous attempt to secure his services, only for Los Blancos to reject their advances.
The interest, though, has not waned since then, and next summer could be the perfect time to land the midfielder, considering his current contract runs out in the summer of 2023. The Reds do appear to be in need of signing a midfielder who can possibly a short-term solution as Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones become set to feature game in game out.
