A possible move for Kylian Mbappe to Merseyside club is a realistic option next summer, according to reports. The 21-year-old centre-forward has yet to commit his long term future to the Ligue 1 giants and has only two years left on his deal in Paris Saint-Germain.
It is said Reds bosses and the Kylian camp have remained in touch since a reported meeting three years ago. This has raised the possibility that the Parisians would be forced to cash in on Mbappe at the end of the 2020/21 campaign or risk losing him for nothing the following year.
France international is one of the best talents in world football and if he were to come on the transfer market there will be many admirers. The extension negotiations have not progressed under two different sporting directors and the French forward’s future will lie with one of three clubs.
PSG, Real Madrid or Liverpool. Los Blancos is said to be the footballer’s dream move and Zinedine Zidane wanted to sign the World Cup winner this summer before the covid pandemic hit. Kylian has recently spoken glowingly about Reds and German boss, fuelling speculation that Liverpool could be his next destination.
Mbappe has told the Patisians he wants to leave next summer and Real Madrid would be his favoured destination. Several other top European clubs have been ruled out of a possible race. Mbappe will not join Barcelona because that would jeopardise a move to Real Madrid in the future.
Kylian is unlikely to join Man City as they claim Parisians’ owners, based in Qatar, would not sell to the team owned by those in the United Arab Emirates.
