Liverpool ready to listen to offers for £200,000-a-week winger

Liverpool are considering selling Mohamed Salah this summer with negotiations over a new deal having reached a deadlock. Liverpool officially parted company with Mane this week after the African forward joined Bayern Munich in a £28m transfer.

Sadio had just under a year left on his Liverpool contract and with Egypt international in an almost identical contractual situation, the Merseyside giants are contemplating cashing in on their star winger rather than lose him for nothing next summer.

Salah is currently the Reds’ top earner, along with Virgil van Dijk, on around £240,000-a-week, but is said to want parity with the Premier League’s best-paid footballers.

Mohamed has noted the salaries Chelsea and Man City offer their top earner and is eye a salary of nearly £400,000-a-week which would shatter the Reds’ current wage structure.

The 30-year-old forward announced before last campaign’s UCL final that he was certain to remain at Anfield for another year, but the matter could be taken out of his own hands.

The Egyptian forward has flirted with the idea of playing in Spain before and after the Spanish champions missed out on Mbappe, they could be in the market for an A List signing this summer.

Liverpool’s owners, FSG, have already partly offset Sadio Mane’s departure by funding a move for club-record signing Nunez while they also moved swiftly to help seal the signing of Luis Diaz in winter.
