Liverpool ready to listen to offers for £200,000-a-week forward

The Merseyside giants could look to sell Mohamed Salah in order to sign Kylian Mbappe this summer. Salah has been a remarkable player for Liverpool, scoring 115 goals in only 183 games for the Reds. He has hinted at a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona in the recent past, however, and reports over his future continue to not go away.

It is now claimed that the German manager stays a keen admirer of France international, who could leave PSG at the end of the season. Although Madrid appears favourites to sign him, it is stated that the Reds would be willing to offload Salah if it meant signing Mbappe.

If that decision ending up arriving for the Reds in the summer, it is such a tough one to get right. Mohamed turns 29 this year and Kylian is just 22 currently, so in terms of long-term potential, replacing the former with the latter could make sense.

That being said, Liverpool’s Egyptian King stays one of the world’s most devastating attacking footballers and the Reds could miss his relentless end product. He could still be in and around his peak for several years, too.

It is a healthy headache for Jurgen Klopp to have, in many ways, considering the quality of both Kylian and Mo, but it is difficult to know which decision would be the correct one.

This season, it has become evident that the back-up options at Anfield are not good enough when the star attackers have been absent or out of form. Therefore, the German manager needs to solve the problem in the summer.
