According to The Mirror, Liverpool are keeping close tabs on Anderlecht striker Lukasz Teodorczyk ahead of the potential summer move.
The Polish forward Teodorczyk has already been linked with a Premier League move recently, but the reported £10 million asking price has yet to be met by his suitors.
It is believed that two Merseyside giants Liverpool and Everton are battling with La Liga side Sevilla, who are reported to have given a June 12 deadline to come to an agreement with the Belgian club.
The Reds have followed the 26-year-old Anderlecht striker for a full year, according to the report, though it should be noted that if that were the case—as it clearly was with Dominic Solanke, given when the initial rumours emerged—there would be no real reason for delay now.
Teodorczyk’s £10m fee would barely dent in the reported war chest Liverpool have to spend this summer, so there should be no question of not being able to meet the financial requirements, again perhaps pointing toward a less-than-solid foundation for the rumour at this time.
The 6 ft 1 Poland international has scored 20 goals in 26 matches in regular season, and another two in the late-season split for European spots.
