The Reds and Gunners will both be keeping tabs on events over in Lille as they maintain an interest in the striker, Victor Osimhen. Both Liverpool and Arsenal have been credited with an interest in Nigeria international. And things may be about to take a turn for the better for the PL duo if reports are correct.
That is because the French club are possibly eyeing up a replacement for Victor. It is claimed the Les Dogues will move for Chivas centre-forward, Jose Macias. Jose has caught the eye over the Atlantic with several fine performances. Indeed, Macias’ already rattled in 26 goals for Chivas despite his tender age.
Such news, then, is surely good for Reds and Gunners if they do indeed maintain their Osimhen interest. Recent reports claimed that Lille could well demand up to 100m Euros for Victor. A price tag like that will probably be off-putting. However, if Lille can land Macias, they might well lower demands.
Aside from the obvious goal threat, Victor has 18 goals in 38 games this campaign any PL side would be getting a dangerous and pacey talent in their ranks. The pace in the modern game can often be so defining at times. Osimhen has it in abundance.
His stats demonstrate a cool head in front of goal, too, while at only 21, there is so much scope for improvement. As Reds continue to monitor Timo Werner, the Nigerian striker might only be a good second option. Gunners, on the other hand, could do far worse than replace the likes of Lacazette and Aubameyang with the 21-year-old striker.
