Liverpool manager revealed why £35m-rated footballer sat on the bench

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp talked about Jordan Henderson who sat on the bench in Premier League game against Tottenham and spent last minutes on the pitch. German manager said that Henderson played two games during the international break and needed rest. James Milner changed him excellently as he played very well. Reds won the fifth match in this season and they are leading the table with Chelsea.

Jordan joined the Merseyside club from Sunderland in 2011 with a £17m deal. He is a captain and real leader for the Reds. England international signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool and he will help his club to win the titles. He is contracted with the club until 2023 and his release clause is nearly £40m. Last season English midfielder played 49 games, scored 1 goal and made 1 assist in all competition. This is a good result and he can do much more in this campaign.

Reds had a great season as they reached the Champions League final but lost the match 3-1 against Real Madrid. Klopp also signed several high-class footballers in this summer like Naby Keita, Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson Becker. The German coach has big plans as he wants to win every possible title in this season.
