Milot Rashica has revealed his dreams to ‘compete with the best’ in the UCL amid rumours Reds are weighing up a move for his signature this summer. Kosovo international, who can play on both wings, has been one of the few shining lights in a struggling Werder Bremen side this campaign.
Milot has racked up 23 goals in 59 games since joining the team from Vitesse back in 2018, and his recent shape has won him many admirers, including Jurgen Klopp. The German manager has sent scouts to watch Rashica several times this term and Bundesliga club have responded by slapping a £32m price tag on the attacker.
Asked about the intense speculation surrounding his future, the 23-year-old forward: ‘I haven’t given too much thought to it yet because, in the current situation, these thoughts just distract you from the essentials. ‘In the end, it helps nobody, not me and especially not the team.
‘I take the current situation very seriously and want to do everything I can to get us out of it.’ Though the Kosovar winger is refusing to force his way out of Bundesliga club, he admits he wants to play in Europe’s premier league in the future to test himself against the elite.
‘One day I would like to compete with the best footballers in the world regularly and play UCL every season,’ he added. ‘I’m working very hard for it, and I know I can do it.’ Bremen sporting director Frank Baumann admits the clubface a battle to keep hold of Milot this summer after his exceptional start the season in Germany.
