Liverpool leading race to sign 20-year-old African attacker

The Merseyside giants are keeping close tabs on the progress of Olympiacos’ playmaker Aguibou Camara. Guinea international started out at Elephant de Coleah in his native, before moving to Europe in 2019 when the playmaker signed from French Ligue 1 club Lille.

Aguibou featured only one time for Les Dogues’ senior team and largely featured for the French club’s reserves over the past couple of years. In the summer earlier this year, Camara made the switch to Olympiacos, and things have gone on well for the playmaker in Greece.

So, the 20-year-old attacker has featured ten times for his new club, scoring two goals and setting up one more. The Guinean playmaker impressed quite a fair bit during Olympiacos’ Champions League group match with Fenerbahce, during which several scouts from teams around Europe were in attendance.

A member from the Reds’ scouting team is also said to have been present in the stadium, and the African playmaker has caught his eye. In fact, in the aftermath, it has been said that the Reds scout asked for information on the former Lille playmaker as Liverpool plan to keep scouting him as per the report.

The Reds are in the market for a new playmaker, as has been indicated by their recent links to Bayer Leverkusen attacker Florian Wirtz. Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in RB Leipzig’playmaker Dominik Szoboszlai, with Camara, a footballer of a similar profile, now registering on their radars.
