Liverpool leading race for 25-year-old Premier League attacker

The Merseyside club are reportedly the latest team to show an interest in the transfer of Aston Villa forward and Man United long-term target Jack Grealish. Jack has been one of the star players in the PL in the last year or so, looking an outstanding talent who is surely going to be on the move to a bigger team before too long.

Grealish has been most strongly linked with Red Devils and is thought to be worth nearly £90m, but the likes of Man City and even Real Madrid have also been mentioned as possible suitors. Now, the Spanish outlet also name him as a footballer on Reds radar as the German manager looks at several attacking midfield options.

Liverpool had been offered the opportunity to re-sign Philippe Coutinho from the Blaugrana, but it seems like they’d rather pursue England international instead. It stays to be seen if the Reds will realistically pay up enough to beat the likes of Man United to the 25-year-old winger, but it could be a terrific signing if they pull it off.

The English forward looks the perfect fit for Reds style of play and could give their front-line a new dimension in the years to come. Reds would be an ideal home for Jack, where his flashes of brilliance and tendency to create chances from any area of the pitch would pull Liverpool over the line in the tightest of affairs. All Jurgen Klopp needs to do is say the word, and the title race will swing back in their favour.
