Liverpool keen on signing €45m-rated creative Brazilian forward

Liverpool are set to offer Takumi Minamino to Leeds United as part of the deal to add Raphinha, who is also a transfer target for Barcelona. Brazil international joined the Peacocks from Stade Rennais in the summer of 2020 and has been a major success at Leeds United.

After enjoying a fine debut campaign in England in 2020/21, Raphinha was fantastic once again in the recently-concluded season, playing a crucial role in helping the Peacocks avoid the drop back to the Championship.

The 25-year-old winger finished the campaign with 11 goals and three assists in all tournaments, with his form helping him establish a foothold in the national team setup. At the same time, the Brazilian forward has also attracted a lot of interest heading into the summer window, most notably from the Blaugrana.

Liverpool are bracing themselves for the departure of star winger Mane, who has hinted that he wishes to move on this summer with his deal expiring in 2023. Bayern Munich have emerged as the likeliest destination for the African forward even though the Reds have rejected an offer from the Bundesliga giants for the attacker.

With Sadio Mane likely to move on, the Reds have identified several possible candidates to replace him, with the South American attacker emerging as one. And Liverpool’s financial situation puts them in an advantageous position ahead of Barcelona in pursuit of Raphinha. In addition to that, Jurgen Klopp’s side may have another ace up their sleeve.
