The Merseyside giants are among the teams that are keeping a keen eye on Patrick Bamford and his deal situation at Leeds United. The 27-year-old centre-forward had been thought to be nearing the final 12 months of his contract at Elland Road but has seemingly extended his stay at Leeds United.
Bamford, for years, was a part of the infamous loan army at Chelsea, having been hauled out to six different teams before finally departing Blues without playing a single first-team game for the club. Patrick initially joined Middlesbrough, but the move did not really work out and he then made his way to Leeds in the summer of 2018.
It is at Elland Road where the English centre-forward has finally found his calling and after returning to the PL with the Peacocks, he has been one of their leading lights this campaign, scoring 15 goals while providing 8 assists in 35 PL games.
His progress this campaign has not gone unnoticed either, with the Reds among the clubs keeping tabs on him. The Reds are likely to dip their toes in the transfer market for at least one attacking reinforcement this coming summer owing to the fact that both Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi are expected to be offloaded.
That would leave Liverpool in need of a replacement, while Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino have also been linked with potential summer exits. To that end, the Reds have been rumoured to be scouring for a striker, with the likes of Odsonne Edouard, Donyell Malen and Dusan Vlahovic on their radar, apart from Erling Haaland.
