Liverpool interested in signing 20-year-old Spanish midfielder

The Merseyside giants are interested in signing Parma midfielder Adrian Bernabe a talent who only left Man City this past summer. Many teams already want Adrian. It’s stated that Real Madrid would like to bring Adrian back to Spain.

Yet with the Reds keen and PSG in the battle, Adrian finds himself a wanted man. Sources close to Adrian claim there is plenty of interest but no offers on the table just yet. Adrian was born in Barcelona and spent time in Barcelona’s academy ranks. In 2018, Adrian joined Man City.

With 11 goals and 16 assists in 54 matches for Man City’s Under-23’s, the Spanish midfielder was impressed. Bernabeu just played five first-team games, though and was released when his deal ended this summer. Adrian suffered a nasty shin injury nearly a year ago, which stunted his development at City.

Michael Edwards likes finding young talent, but Adrian looks like a strange target. Bernabe only joined Parma this summer and hasn’t even played for them yet. If the Reds rated Adrian that highly, moving for him this summer would have made some sense.

It just doesn’t add up to us, with the 20-year-old midfielder unlikely to be on Liverpool’s wish list without even kicking a ball this campaign. Beyond that, the Reds has produced its own crop of young and promising players. That list includes Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones, both of whom have risen to the occasion to establish their marks in Europe.
