Liverpool in pole position to sign €40m-rated Serie A striker

Andrea Belotti is facing an uncertain future at Torino, as the club prepares for a possible squad overhaul in the summer transfer window. It has put several teams on red alert, including PL duo Liverpool and Man United while Tottenham are also in the mix.

Part of the Torino side since 2015, Italy international’s current deal in Turin expires in 2022. As a result, Il Granata are set to cash in on him this summer, with the centre-forward likely to join a long list of footballers likely to be sold off after the end of the campaign a list that includes reported Man United target Nicolas Nkoulou.

Andrea is certainly the biggest name, having enjoyed immense success during his six-year spell at Torino. Belotti has already played over 200 competitive games for the club, netting 104 times while bagging 26 assists. The Italian has also been acting as the club captain since the backend of the 2016/17 season, making him arguably the most important figure at Torino.

The PL interest surrounding Andrea is hardly surprising either, robust style of play, coupled with his work ethic make him a tailor-made fit the English football.

Liverpool, too, could use the services of someone like Andrea, whose robust nature could add the much-needed variety to the club’s attacking unit that is heavily reliant on technique, pace and skill.

The 27-year-old centre-forward’s expiring contract means the striker could be a financially viable target, not just for Tottenham but also Liverpool and Man United, in this financial climate that has had a drastic impact on the market values.
