Liverpool in advanced talks with €60m-rated Spain international

Merseyside club could reportedly be about to end the transfer window with a flourish as Jurgen Klopp sets his sights on three primary transfer targets. One major deal gathering a lot of momentum seems to be one for Los Blancos forward Marco Asensio, linked with the Reds in a potential £135m move.

Several sources in Spain have linked Marco as a possible makeweight in a deal for Real Madrid to add Sadio Mane, but German manager is also a big fan of Asensio and has asked UCL giants to name a price for him. The 23-year-old forward joined the Los Blancos from Mallorca with a €4m deal.

He became a crucial figure for the club and scored many incredible goals since joining. He is a regular member of the Furia Roja team and also helped them to reach the playoff in the 2018 World Cup, but after losing in a penalty shoot-out with Russia they knocked out from the tournament.

Whether they’ll go as high as the club’s £135m valuation stays to be seen, but it looks like the interest is authentic and the winger is available after the signings of Belgian star Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic coming in at the Bernabeu this transfer window, while further funds could also be useful to UCL giants as they target Paul Pogba for around £150m.

As well as that, Merseyside club have been linked with Cottagers wonderkid Harvey Elliott in a £12m agreement that could be announced within days. Despite only being 16-year-old, it’s been claimed the footballer will immediately become part of Jurgen’s first-team in what sounds like an exciting deal.
